Danielle Kane

Danielle is a classically trained singer and recording artist. She received her education from Mount Holyoke College and The New England Conservatory of Music, serving a wide stylistic range that encompasses opera, oratorio, musical theater, pop, folk, rock, jazz, chant and inspirational. From theatrical stages, concert halls, and spiritual venues, she has enjoyed moving and inspiring audiences for over 45 years.

Teaching others has been my joy throughout my life. I’ve had some incredible performing experiences and what really lights me up is helping students to speak up and sing out in an enjoyable, empowering way.  I love it when I can help someone feel a feeling, or get in touch with their power!

Approach to Teaching

Private students come to Danielle Kane to sing for pleasure, to prepare for interviews or auditions, and to find their true voice. Some have distinguished themselves in various projects and have gone on to study music and perform professionally. Danielle teaches a structured vocal program to private students, workshop participants, and attendees of her popular Singing Makes You Happy class.

Her teaching approach balances technical skill-building with creative expression and wellbeing. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and experience level, combining breath work, vocal technique, repertoire coaching, and performance practice. In workshops and clinics she emphasizes practical tools that singers can apply immediately, along with group exercises that develop ensemble awareness and confidence.

Danielle also expands her work into sound healing sessions and singing circles, where she encourages singing and sounding as a spiritual practice. In these settings the focus shifts from performance to presence: exercises foster deep listening, embodied vibration, and community connection. Across private study, group classes, and healing circles, her approach supports artistic growth, personal wellbeing, and a joyful relationship with the voice.
